Pressed Flower Art - Original Designs
Ellie Roden uses actual pressed flowers, leaves, tendrils, and other plant materials in all of her original pressed flower art. She picks most of the flowers, stems and leaves from her gardens in Wilmington, VT, so all of her artwork comes with a little piece of Vermont and New England.
Ellie creates her pressed flower art using a microwave flower press called a Microfleur. The rapid drying of flowers and plant material helps retain their vibrant color long after they’re pressed. With the Microfleur, Ellie can press almost any kind of plant material to use in her beautiful, intricate pressed flower art.
Ellie’s pressed flower art designs are unique and carefully crafted. Though no two original pictures will ever be exactly the same, Ellie can recreate a similar piece of pressed flower art if the item you would like is no longer available.
Custom Pressed Flower Designs
Ellie creates all of her pressed flower artwork by hand. First, she carefully presses each flower, stem, and leaf. Then, she places them piece by piece on paper, spending hours on each design - arranging and rearranging - until it looks just right. With tweezers and a tiny brush, she uses high quality, acid-free glue to adhere each piece to the paper.
Ellie’s original pressed flower pieces are also available as cards, bookmarks, and prints in a variety of sizes. With designs highlighting a variety of flowers, plants, and leaves, you are sure to find a design you love!
