Gluing pressed flowers on candles is not at all a unique idea but I have never done it before. I was in the mood yesterday to do something different and I quite liked the end result. The flowers I used are florets from Quick Fire hydrangeas along with vines, leaves, and a few morning glory buds.
The flowers, vine and leaves were adhered to the candle with Mod Podge, a waterbased sealer, glue, and finish. Then a few coats of Mod Podge was brushed all over the plant material and set aside to dry thoroughly. And that's it! Guess who's having dinner by candlelight tonight?!
